KAPTAN: Anywhere We Go
Indie pop salvation on this fine Tuesday is brought to you by KAPTAN's release of "Anywhere We Go" and it quite frankly couldn't come at a more appropriate time. Laying here listening with my eyes closed, I was carried off to a land where clock ins and outs no longer exist, and the only decisions you're plagued with become frozen or on the rocks, and Valencia vs. Lo Fi. Vacation. Vacation. Vacation! Tomorrow I will be leaving my bodegas and bed bugs behind to embark on a journey to a brighter land out west, trading them all in for palm trees and a sweet reunion with my other half and soulmate, the Joseph Smith of KickKickSnare, Brent Burns. Obviously, he's been looking forward to it exponentially more than I have, but thanks to KAPTAN's musical vacation starter kit, I think I'm finally able to imagine that California burrito and salted margarita in my hand, and I'd like to make an official toast and dedication. (ching ching) I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control, and I think I like it. Here's to KAPTAN for making all of these fuzzy vacation feelings possible. I will be listening to "Anywhere We Go" on my journey across the Oregon Trail, and be reminded that indeed, whether separated or together, may we always find our way back to a palm tree and proceed to party like its 1999.
